Rob Stevenson is the principal of Australian Workplace Lawyers. He has over 25 years experience in advising and assisting individuals, small and medium size businesses and not-for-profit and charitable organisations with their workplace legal issues. He can assist clients in understanding their rights, obligations and entitlements under the law, preparing and/or reviewing agreements, and helping clients resolve their employment or contracting disputes and problems, informally or through the court/tribunal system. He has significant experience in the state and federal industrial commissions and federal and state courts and tribunals and has acted in several precedent setting cases in employment, discrimination and environmental law.
Rob holds an honours degree and a masters degree in law and is a nationally accredited specialist in workplace relations law. He has worked for small, medium and large law firms in the city and country and a community legal centre.
Rob is a member of and past chair of the Queensland Law Society’s industrial law committee and is current chair of the Society’s workplace relations specialist accreditation committee. He is a senior counsellor of the Queensland Law Society and has been recognised as a leader in the workplace relations field through several awards. He is also a long term volunteer at the Caxton Legal Centre.
Last but not least, he is also a member of the Ducati Owners Club of Queensland in his spare time.
